DSC_0082 Prosciutto-Wrapped Salmon

I haven’t put up a recipe for a very long time and made this for supper the other night and thought that it was amazing! So I am going to share it with the awesome people who read my blog! (Tell your friends to start reading it too!) The recipe is from Chef Michael Smith’s cookbook The Best of Chef at Home (pg. 122, ISBN978-1-55285-984-1, 2009) This is one of the best cookbooks I use (it’s my girlfriends). I like it because the recipes are easy and fast for the most part. It’s also cool because Chef Smith gives you ways of changing the recipe just a little to change the flavour of the recipe. Add it to your Christmas list!!!

  • 4 Salmon Fillets
  • 1/4cup Grainy Mustard
  • 4 slices of Prosciutto
  • A sprinkle of salt and pepper

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
  3. Evenly spread the mustard on the top surface of each fillet.
  4. Tightly roll each fillet in a slice of prosciutto so that the end is weighed down beneath the salmon.
  5. Place wrapped fillets on a baking pan, seam side down. Bake until done, about 15 minutes.

What to do with leftover turkey!!!

Just thought you might like to know what I did with some of the leftovers from the brined turkey!
